The maximum you can lose in a day1

Profit Target (Pass)

The Profit Target objective you must earn to pass a evaluation.

Profit Target (First Payout)

After reaching the Profit Target (Pass) and earning a funded account, this is the buffer2, that is, the amount you must earn and/or maintain to qualify for a payout. The buffer is typically the account’s Max Loss Limit + $100.

True Profit Target

Profit Target (Pass) + Profit Target (First Payout). This is the actual amount you must earn before being eligible for your first payout.

Max Loss Limit

The maximum drawdown of an account before it fails.

MLL vs True Profit Target

The account’s Maximum Loss Limit (aka drawdown) you can use to earn your first payout.

Max First Pay

The actual amount you can withdrawal after earning the abovementioned profit targets, less any buffer requirement, and profit split, i.e., 80/20 or 90/10.

ROI

Max First Payout / Total Cost (shown as a percent).

Min Days to Pass

Minimum trading days required to pass an evaluation account.

Consistency (Eval)

Consistency rule, where no single trading day’s profit can exceed the specified percentage value of an account’s total earned profits (i.e., 20%) - during the evaluation phase.

Min Days to First Payout

Minimum trading days required to earn a payout.

Consistency (Funded)

Consistency rule, where no single trading day’s profit can exceed the specified percentage value of an account’s total earned profits (i.e., 20%) - in a funded account.

Scalability

The maximum number of funded accounts permitted.

1 Some Prop Firms have a Daily Loss Limit (DLL) that when breached, the account is closed.

2 Not all Prop Firms subscriptions have a Buffer requirement.
